Penta Hotel
"Room was very clean. Staff were helpful and polite. Breakfast was a continental. The beach view was really nice. The rooms are serviced every other day so ensure you take shower gel with you as the bottle provided is enough for 1 wash only. I would stay here again. Thanks."

"Staff was kind and helpful. Our room was odd to get to going up the stairs then down the stairs. No A/C so windows open… except open to a bar right outside which was loud until 3am. Yikes. Wonderful location next to the promenade and shops. Good food options around too. TV was small. Bar area had ..."

The Sefton
"We enjoyed our week at the Sefton, it is situated quite centrally on the prom, with Bus stops right outside, easy walk into Town for the Quayside or Steam Train, slightly longer walk up to Derby Castle for the Electric Tram/Horse Tram, and just cross the road for the beach. We didn't eat Breakfast, or try the attached Pan Asian Restaurant, but the attached Bar does reasonable Pub food in the evenings. We were on the 4th (top) floor, which had the slowest lift ever, which was out of commission just once, but quickly fixed. We really liked our room, with a balcony overlooking the indoor courtyard, it was a very good size with very clean, new looking Bathroom. I'd requested a walk in shower, which we had. Beds were comfy and NOT foam (good for us, as we hate foam mattresses). Housekeeping was every other day, which was fine once we'd realised (missed the notice at reception) we just asked for extra milk, tea, coffee, etc.,. at reception and took a little baggy up as we came in from our day put. The pool is small with odd sloping sides, but fun and not over deep and kept at a good temperature. We made full use of it, often by ourselves, even though the Hotel was full. It's a relaxed place and all the staff were consistently friendly and helpful, which goes a long way to recommending the Hotel. It may not be the most modern, but it's comfortable and we'd def stay there again."
